iPhone v. 1.3 part 3: Secrets, to go
September 9th, 2008
Evernote for iPhone now lets you decrypt note content that was encrypted on the desktop clients. With this functionality, you can access private or sensitive information, even when you’re on the go. Our IT guy says he uses this feature to look up passwords at the datacenter. Whatever that means. Get the latest version of Evernote for iPhone.
To decrypt, simply tap on the encrypted content, which will bring up a password entry field. Once you’ve entered the correct password, the content will become temporarily decrypted. As soon as you leave the note, your data will return to an encrypted state.

We’re looking into encryption from the iPhone, as well. It’s quite tricky.

@Patrick Evernote for Mac currently supports encryption. To encrypt, highlight a portion of a note, CTRL+click, and choose “Encrypt selected text.”
