Last night, we updated Evernote Web with a small, but very useful, feature: Autosave.
Now, Evernote automatically saves your note every 60 seconds. So, if you accidentally close Evernote Web, navigate away, or are logged out due to inactivity, you won’t lose all your work. Nice.

Really need updates for Firefox 3.5 and Safari 4.0
Does this have anything to do with the fact that I have been getting multiple error messages like this today?

I use the web app excusively. Dumped the windows app a long time ago. Great addition. Autosave. Woo hoo!
The browser plugin works for me in both Safari 4 and Firefox 3.5. For FF, you must uninstall the old extension, restart FF, and install the new one. I don’t know of any tricks in Safari; it just works. I’m running 10.5.7.

FF 3.5 won’t let me uninstall the extension – i think it updated to the new one but it still says it doesn’t work.
Same thing here, lots of errors like that one, in Firefox 3.5, Windows XP.

I’m using Evernote on my Windows Mobile Phone (soon switching to Android) and on my PC and Mac. Do you have a date for when Ink Notes will work in the Mac client? I mainly use them on my mobile phone.

I use the desktop Windows client on my home computer and the Web interface elsewhere. I prefer the desktop client and don’t think it has any memory issues (using XP) but I’m really glad that you’ve added Autosave to the Web interface. You just keep making a great product even better!

This would have been a great feature to implement alongside rollback.
are you guys planning an Android version of this, i love the web/mac app, but not planning on getting an iphone and i think this apps is at its most useful when mobile…

excellent new feature. I still can vividly remember how I felt when all my work was wiped out by a Blue Screen of Death
I really enjoy this new feature. It makes this system a lot more user friendly, and saves me a lot of grief when my computer randomly decides to implode.
This is great. Nothing worse then been half way or further in writing an article, to lose it all 
That’s great news for writers like me. Can’t count how many times I’ve lost a document coz I forgot to save.
Autosaving is great. But it is better if this option can be enable or disable, depending on the personal need.
Awesome! I lost some notes from a meeting I went to a while ago because I clicked the wrong button. Now I don’t have to worry.
PS – Sorting is also awesome.
Autsave would be nicer if the user could adjust it. I personally would prefer to have autosave kick in every ten minutes. Thanks for a great product.

I’ve been wondering… how often does the windows desktop version of evernote autosave? Drop me an email if you don’t mind–I can’t seem to find this tidbit of info online anywhere…

This is good news. Your desktop app can be a memory killer, so I tend to spend more time in the web app, and this actually would have saved my bacon a couple of times. Thanks for this.
