Hey Gang, I am a huge fan of Evernote (Mac, iPhone) and of the blog. I wanted to share a tip that I hadn’t seen anywhere else around here-
I use Evernote with my own brand of GTD and one thing that bugged me was the lack of notification ability. When I think of something I need to do in the future, I don’t want it in my “Next Actions” folder and I don’t want it to get lost in “Projects” so-
I use Google Calendar and I’ve setup my alerts to be emailed to my Gmail account. When I want to remember something in the future, I just create an event in GCal with an alert. Then I setup a filter in Gmail to forward all emails from “Google Calendar” into my Evernote “Inbox” notebook. That way they show up exactly when I need them. Works great with birthday reminders etc.
Thanks for the great product!
