Here’s a use case – I scan a lot of things into Evernote like many people, and my workflow includes scanning to a monitored folder. Now, unfortunately for me, the note titles are always taken by default to be the pdf file name, which in my case is simply the time at which the scan was performed. I always have to rename my notes, and while renaming them individually is fine for my daily/weekly scanning, it is incredibly tedious when scanning in a large amount previously collected materials, all of which will be getting similar titles.

Another use case is if I decide at some point to change a convention for titling my notes, I cannot apply this change across the board.

An unrelated request I have would be to make it easier to apply tags to a group of notes. Currently you can only do this one tag at a time, by dragging and dropping the selected group onto a tag, which is fine when you only have a total of 10 tags, but incredibly annoying when you have more and have to first scroll through your tag list, find the tag you want, select the notes, and then drag and drop. And if you want to apply more than one tag, the process gets even more frustrating. You should be able to type in which tags you want to apply to a group of notes, via the right-click context menu or something similar.
