I do wish that you’d make sure that your podcast is available on iTunes before you post on your blog. It’s frustrating to see the posting that it’s now available but not be able to access it on iTunes – every blooming time you post about it!

I like the podcast, enjoy it even, but will you get your act together so that the blog post goes out when the podcast is available in iTunes? Pretty please?

    Thanks.

  • Brett

When will I be able to rotate pictures/pdf in the applications?

Great show, as usual; would you guys consider doing a video version of the podcast? Even better, a live video version? It would be so worth it.

I am wondering if Evernote could do the following:

    - when a note is emailed using the built in Web interface it would be nice to see the email history for each note that is shared.

    - also it would be nice if I could connect my google contacts to Evernote so I could auto-address shared notes without copy and past. Sync integration perhaps?

There was at least a 3-4 period yesterday when the Evernote website and servers were completely unavailable and offline. I tried from several different computers on iPad, iPhone, Mac and Windows from several places work and home and was unable to update my Evernote account or reach the website. You are running a service that many people depend upon. There was no alternative place to look to see what the server status was or what was going on and no comment that I can see acknowledging what occurred. Are you going to explain why the service disappeared for several hours? Are you going to put a plan in place for people to be able to have an alternate server isolated from the main servers that will be available to see what the status is?

      +1

evernote’s handling of this issue has been poor. not a peep out of them until after the problem was fixed. The whole domain was down across the 3 ISPs I used yesterday and lots of people mentioned connectivity issues across the globe on twitter. the response they provided on twitter was lame and sounded like they didn’t even care. shame on you evernote. shame on you.

Joe, yes we are looking into ways to better communicate these types of events. Details on this specific issue can be found here: http://forum.evernote.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=17697&p=71637#p71637

Great post. Regarding the K.K. comment. I think it is for Kabushiki gaisha (Co., Ltd or Incorporated as it was menctioned).
    Keep the good work.(vuvuzela sound…..)

  • Vance

I know it is the nature of the “comment” beast, but I get annoyed at times that people use these comments to ask for their pet feature update rather than discuss the topic of the post. Maybe a solution would be a place where people could post and discuss the new things they want from Evernote (including “me too!” type support for ideas). Have you guys thought about adding a forum to this site (or is there one I don’t see?). It may not stop people from continuing to push for their pet features on unrelated posts, but it could help.

The Evernote forum can be found at http://forum.evernote.com/

I think quite a few people also put feature suggestions on getsatisfaction.com.

      • Vance

Thanks, is there a link on the main site I am missing? I don’t see a link to it anywhere! But, I will head right over!

  • Vance

You asked for podcast ideas: One feature for the podcast might be a “platform round-up”. I know you tend to cover this throughout the show, but one segment where you cycle through the platforms and say what is new or on the horizon for each would be great!

I use Evernote on an ever increasing basis and have two questions. 1.) How can I easily move emails from Apple Mail into Evernote? 2.) How can I save an item that is longer then the actual screen shot? At times, I wish to save something, but clipping can’t be accomplished if the item has to be scrolled on the screen.

    • Jonathan

I don’t know what clipping program you are using, but I am on a Mac and when I clip from Firefox, Safari or Chrome, it clips the entire page, not just what is in view. This is how the clipper has worked from day one, so not sure what you mean.

THe scanner would be a great addition to my iPad. Please enter me in your contest. I am just learning how
Great it is. I am 82 years old and still like to learn new things.
