Better attachments

Evernote for BlackBerry lets you create text notes, snapshot notes, audio notes, and notes with file attachments. In this update, we’ve made it easier to add new attachments to an existing note and remove any that you don’t want.

To do this, open the note and tap on the paperclip icon the top right. This will take you to the attachment screen, where you can add new snapshots, files and more.

Optimized snapshots

After you take a photo, the app now asks whether you’d like to save and sync the photo at its native size or to scale it down. Scaling helps with both note loading and synchronization. Consider using this option if you are on a slower network connection.

Tons of improvements

In addition to adding new features and functionality, we also made a number of great usability improvements:

  • Much faster: You’ll see much quicker loading across all aspects of the app thanks to better network connection management
  • Better power management: The app is easier on your battery, requiring significantly less power than in the past
  • Better legibility: We’ve improved the interface to be clearer and more legible

This is all on top of numerous bug fixes and stability improvements, which make for a great Evernote for BlackBerry experience. We have lots more to come. Let us know what you think.

Is this update only available to certain models? Evernote 3.2 was working fine, but appword isn’t showing this updated version for my phone.

How about shared notebooks? When will it be available?
    Desperately looking forward to that.

Hi There, I am absolutely loving Evernote on my PC but can’t say that for Blackberry. I have upgraded to the latest version and file upload is faster. I wish you could offer a feature to turn off the syn feature. The way I work is before I leave the office, I would syn Evernote while on Wi-Fi, then go out to client meetings and what to add some quick notes, but instead, you have to sign in, then wait for the sync to complete every time. Just on Saturday I have been saving clips of various mountains I was looking at for my daughter on Kiji. As we were driving to go so the bike, my wife wanted to see the picture, so I gave her my BB and told her to open up evernote. It took almost the drive to get to the person to open evernot, sync, then open the file. Add the feature to turn that off sync and things would run great. !

    Wonderful update but:
    1) italian translation is plain awful. on pc and ipad i can reset to english (which i would however prefer). Please allow language change in bb too
    2) Selecting snapshot from main toolbar in BB Bold activate the camera but the capture never goes back to evernote app
