The second annual Evernote Trunk Conference is just a month away! We’re looking forward to bringing together Evernote users from all over the world for a weekend of all things Evernote. We’ve put together an agenda full of both developer and user-focused sessions designed to inspire, educate and connect our users with each other. Attendees will also get the first look at some pretty exciting new Evernote initiatives. We’d like to invite you to check out some of the awesome additions to our agenda and satellite events we have planned for you to make August 24th an Evernote-packed weekend.
Chris Guillebeau - author of The $100 Startup, entrepreneur, and Evernote’s most traveled user with the goal of visiting every country in the world (185 down, 8 to go).
Dave Engberg - Evernote Chief Technology Officer, will host a session focusing on the evolution of Evernote’s architecture.
Jamy Ian Swiss - renowned sleight of hand artist will highlight the importance of narrative in creating a user experience.
Evernote for Schools: Creating Portfolios Workshop
Interested in helping your students pursue a lifetime of learning with Evernote? Attend this special event for an interactive demonstration of how students can use Evernote to create, collect and collaborate as they build their portfolios. You’ll watch live demonstrations, participate in interactive activities and enjoy hands-on training with Evernote and our entire family of apps.
Rob van Nood, a teacher at Trillium Charter School in Portland, will lead a presentation on how to implement digital portfolios in a classroom, school or district. He’ll share the story of how he found, assessed and ultimately implemented Evernote with his students and also outline his program’s results.
Integrate: Evernote Bootcamp
In celebration of the 2nd Annual Evernote Trunk Conference and the launch of their new book “Integrate: Evernote,” Evernote Small Business Ambassador Lindsey C. Holmes and Evernote Productivity Ambassador Joshua Zerkel are presenting an in-depth, 3-hour bootcamp showcasing integrations that will help you get the most out of Evernote for your business. You’ll learn “real people” use cases and gain insider tips on how to leverage the tools in the Evernote Trunk to truly make Evernote the center of your notable world. After this bootcamp, you’ll walk away with techniques to use Evernote for goal setting, centralizing your marketing, going paperless, creating processes and procedures, accounting, contact management, and more.
Evernote Real Estate Ambassador Workshop
As a business owner, you have a lot to remember. That is why Krisstina Wise, founder and owner of an award-winning real estate brokerage in Austin, Texas, considers Evernote a foundational part of her business. In this workshop, Krisstina will be offering an interactive demonstration of how she uses Evernote to lead and manage her real estate business, GoodLife Team. She will share how she uses Evernote to stay organized and to collaborate with every staff member and sales associate at her firm. As a bonus, Krisstina’s presentation will be accompanied by a talk from her business partner and husband, Garry Wise. Krisstina will focus on how she uses Evernote as a business owner, while Garry will be demonstrating how he uses Evernote as a real estate sales professional and how he organizes all of his clients, communications and sales through Evernote.
Evernote Food: Tamale Cooking Class
Join the Evernote Food team, Tamales Los Mayas Chef Alicia Villanueva and Estrellita’s Snacks chef Maria del Carmen for an hour and a half tamale making demo and interactive session in which you’ll learn to make three kinds of tamales from start to finish. The class will be taking place at La Cocina, a local incubator kitchen for low-income food entrepreneurs who want to kickstart their food businesses. Students will begin working with the masa, move on to the fillings, and then wrap and steam the tamales according to traditional techniques. At the end of the class, both Estrellita’s Snacks and Tamales los Mayas will provide a family-style meal, featuring the tamales we make, in addition to some of their incredible Mexican and El Salvadorian food. Be sure to bring your iPhone or Android phone, preloaded with Evernote Food so you can document the recipes, hands-on instruction, and final food photos-capturing every delicious moment. Evernote Home Cooking Ambassador, Lauren Atkins and Food Writing Ambassador, Kristi Willis will be on hand to help you make the most of your experience as well.
Evernote Outdoor Travel Ambassador Hike
Cap your weekend with lunch and a hike with Evernote’s Outdoor Travel Ambassador, Rebecca Sowards-Emmerd. She’ll take you on a leisurely, three mile hike through San Francisco’s Lands End. You’ll take in views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Sutro Baths and the cliffs leading to the Pacific Ocean. Rebecca will show you creative ways to plan your outdoor adventures and capture all of those memories in Evernote, forever.
Wrap up Brunch
Join Evernote team members and Ambassadors at a final brunch to recap the weekend’s events. Attendees will eat brunch at Ironside SF in San Francisco’s SOMA district. This informal gathering is a great way to meet other Evernote users, share stories and round out your ETC weekend.
