We’re not just an app anymore.

We want Evernote to make you smarter. To let you elegantly move through the giant flood of information that’s always coming at you in your personal and professional life. We want Evernote to appeal to the types of people who have a life’s work, and we want to create products that make your life’s work better.

Today, we’re launching a series of “Evernote Editions”— beautiful technology and lifestyle products made through partnerships with some of the most creative companies and designers in the world. These partners have been inspiring us for years and it’s an honor to work with them to make something truly great.

Some of these products may seem like natural extensions, while others will surprise you. That’s intentional. What ties everything is a meticulous attention to detail, amazing design and shared vision for making life a little easier. Here are some of the items you’ll find:

You can see these products online and in our apps through the brand new Evernote Market. Today, the physical goods are available to users in the US, Canada and Japan with more countries coming soon.

This is a big step for us, but it’s also a natural evolution of our original vision and business model: no tricks, no ads, just great products that give you a better way to live and a smarter way to work.

I hope you like the Evernote Edition products as much as we do.

Regional limitations?! Seriously?? Like it’s not XXI century! Shame.

They live in XX century when the internet just started :)
Unfortunately there a lot of US internet services unavailable for many countries…

  • gemsling

Can’t decide whether this is awesome or whether Evernote had jumped the shark…

To me it’s an extension of what they were already doing – as some of the products were already available. There’s a risk they’ll lose focus so JTS might be right.

The products look nice. But as commented on the FORUM a bit intrusively implemented on the iOS client.

Still curious these new feature despite of the video I saw. So, I need to see that by myself.

Well, if this is what it takes to keep Evernote a free service then I’m all for it.

Hmmm..several of these products appear to be targeting only a male user. What’s up with that?

  • Jacqui

Does this replace The Trunk? Or did it just get bumped off the main screen to promote the Market?

  • WallsOfJericho316

Love this. I just spent a little too much money on Evernote Market, but I’m sure that results will be worth it. Looking forward to getting, using, and reviewing these items!

Hi there! I am really doubtfull with the lastest ios7 update, because of this new “feature”. It is really disturbing my eyes, mostly because of the big pictures of scanners…, and it looks so much like Ads! It’s a shame, especially as a premium user, I don’t want Ads to clutter my screen and to be mixed with my notes.
So please, please, please, make it possible to disable it, or at least make it as discrete as the Annoucements. I’ve been fan for ages now of you service and an early adopter too, and I recommend it to a lot of people… So please don’t jump the shark as gemsling says, and be kind to your faithfull premium users :) By the way, really great job lately with the Reminders and the new Web Clipper. Thank you in advance for your comprehension.

The scanner appears to be the Fujitsu ScanSnap iX500, available elsewhere for $410. So $410 plus $45 for a year of Evernote Premium is $455. You’re selling that same combination (scanner plus one year of Premium) for $495. So I’d be paying $40 more just for the Evernote logo on the scanner? Please correct me if there is anything special about the scanner, other than the logo. If not, maybe Evernote HAS jumped the shark, as “gemsling” said.

    • Vartabedian

If you don’t think the scanner is priced fairly there’s a pretty simple solution: don’t buy one. The fine people of Evernote are within their right to price their products as they wish.

      • Edward

I’m not against the price. I am ready to buy a scanner and, since I’ll mostly be using the scanner to scan into Evernote, I’ll be happy to pay $495 if the scanner makes it easier to scan into Evernote than other scanners. I am sincerely trying to find out what makes this an “Evernote scanner”, other than the free year of Premium. I’d hate to buy another scanner and then discover that the Evernote scanner would have been more suited to my purposes. (admittedly, my original post was a little snarky…I tried to edit it, but couldn’t)

  • Ordinant

I am outraged that the 7.0.1 iOS update force-adds Evernote Market
to my main screen. I pay for Evernote Premium. Evernote Market is
advertising, pure and simple. Premium customers should NOT have to
endure advertising, especially not on such limited screen space.

Please provide an iOS update ASAP that adds a setting that lets me remove
Evernote Market from the main screen. If I want to go shopping, I open a
web page. If I want to take notes, I open Evernote. How was that not
    obvious?

    • ggrinton

I agree. If I want marketing, I’ll go and do a product search with my favourite web browser. This is not what I use Evernote for.

    • Stephen Marcus Byrne

I agree: it is a waste of space for the front screen to take advertising like this. My shortcuts have now disappeared from the front screen, presumably because the space has been consumed by ‘Market’. Horrible: advertising has taken priority over ease-of-use.

    • Vartabedian

Outraged over your $5/month subscription. Really? I might suggest you vote with your feet.

  • ggrinton

Please ‘stick to your knitting’ and concentrate on providing a good piece of software. I see little long term value in your trying to convert into a marketing company, especially as a niche player. I would rather you use my subscriptions for the purpose I signed up.

  • Georg Kordick

It’s really annoying. First Anouncements and now Market. The App is now just all about selling stuff instand of getting my notes managed.
Especially as a Premium user i do want an option to remove the Market (and the Announcements) from the App.
I didn’t paid to get a App Full of Advertisement.

  • Josh Sullivan

Does the scanner email the document to my Evernote account using my unique email address?

  • Edward Clark

How can you cancel an order placed for an item in Evernote Market?
