Today, we’re happy to announce another great resource for those working towards Devcup submissions. On Tuesday, June 25th from 2-3 PM Pacific time we will be hosting a live Q&A via our UStream channel. Members of the Evernote team will be live to overview the Devcup competition and answer any final questions you may have.

For the past six months, we have traveled the globe in search of talented developers ready to build the next generation of Evernote compatible apps. From half way around the world to cities right in our backyard, we have seen the same exciting ambition everywhere.

This grand tour has culminated in Devcup 2013, our annual competition among teams building exciting and unique Evernote compatible apps. With the June 28th deadline fast approaching, there is still time to submit projects and polish up your work!

Important Resouces

Tuesday is your chance to reach out to us in real time. Concerned about producing a professional level video demo?  We’re here to help. Need some final guidance on your project? Come join us, because we are all ears!

In the meantime, be sure to review the various resources we have available for this year’s competition. We have general best practices guides on both our developer homepage and the Devcup site for the a summary of our most valuable tips and tricks. In addition, we have various workshops and resources available on our YouTube channel.

Feedback and Devcup Forums

Of course, don’t be afraid to reach out to us directly. If you have a question and cannot find an answer within our various resources, we want to help you now! Join our passionate and active group of employees and developers on the Evernote developer forum.  Or, reach out to us directly via emailTwitter, or Facebook.

You all–the developer and designer community–are what make Devcup a reality. While we have met many of you in person, we have not come close to getting to know you all. So this is your time to reach out and get to know us personally.

We can’t wait to meet you, live!

  • I’m looking forward to developing my own app for Evernote DevCup. I have two questions.

    1. Should the submitted application be available, only when it works together with Evernote? Or it can be available by itself without operating together with Evernote?

    2. (After Accelerator term is over,) Would it be possible for me to build my own solo business using the submitted application or core content of it without any intervention of Evernote?

      Hi Lee,

The Evernote Devcup is a competition for developers working to build apps that integrate with the Evernote API. We welcome any form of Evernote compatibility, but apps eligible in the competition should be submitted with a working Evernote API integration. The Evernote Accelerator operates under the same premise. We will take up to six teams from Devcup to help them build their Evernote integrated apps even further. While we hope that you will continue to develop your business after the Accelerator, the goal of the program is to work with apps that wish to build long-term Evernote integrations.

I hope all of this helps!
