Each year we host the Evernote Devcup, an open challenge to our developer and designer community to create new apps and services that extend Evernote’s capabilities. This past Friday we announced the Category Winners of Devcup 2013. Together these twelve apps showcase some of the best uses of the Evernote platform and reflect an increasingly talented community of Evernote developers.

This year we saw a record number of compelling submissions. In order to fully recognize the hard efforts of this year’s Devcup participants, we are happy to announce two additional awards today: the People’s Choice Award and the Platform Prize Winners.

The People’s Choice Award

The People’s Choice Award is a Devcup prize chosen by the online community. Throughout the month of July, Devcup apps vied to gain the favor of fans following the competition. This year we watched a heated competition unfold throughout the voting process. Two apps consistently competed for the top spot on the Devcup voting list, often outpacing each other by only one vote.

In order to recognize the impressive efforts in this year’s voting process, we are happy to extend the People’s Choice Award to the top two finalists. Both People’s Choice Award winners will receive passes to our annual conference, EC3.

The Platform Awards
