We have some pretty exciting news to announce today. Evernote for Android is now bundled on new Samsung Android phones from T-Mobile US, including the Samsung Behold II. So, if you’ve been eyeing that shiny new Behold II, now’s a great time to grab one for yourself.

For those of you that are already proud owners of these phones, you have received, or will soon receive, an update that automatically installs Evernote.

Evernote for Android

The new Samsung phones come with Evernote for Android, the newest and fastest growing member of the Evernote family. Evernote for Android lets you create text notes, snap photos and record audio memos. You can also upload files, such as PDFs. If you’re a Premium user, then you can attach any type of file, including the videos you shoot with your phone.

Besides creating new stuff, you can always launch Evernote and find all of the notes that you made on your phone, desktop or the web. You can even find notes created near your current location.

The future…

Evernote is making a major investment in Android this year, and now that so many people will get to see us on Samsung phones, we’re even more motivated than ever to make the Evernote for Android experience as great as possible. Expect lots of new features and improvements in the months ahead.

Don’t have a Samsung Behold II?

Evernote for Android is available for free from the Android Market.

Really cool application. I’m quite impressed with the explosive evolution of mobile phones. When I was little there weren’t any, and now they are miniature personal computers. You can do whatever you want with your phone these days, and actually using it for talking to people is becoming a secondary goal.

I have checked the android market. Evernote is not available – can you point me in the right direction.

    • Andrew Sinkov

@David That’s odd, you should be able to see it. Can you provide some details on your phone model, carrier, region? You can download it directly by pointing your Android browser to http://s.evernote.com/androidbeta

Thanks for the tip on how to download the application (using a Hero phone)

I notice there’s not a icon for uploading a video.

I sent a video to Evernote from albums, but a few seconds was almost a MB…

        any suggestions?

why there’s still no symbian (touch devices especially) version!!!?!?!?!???

I also can’t find evernote in android market (T-mobile).
I suggest to put an evernote.apk on the web.
I found that when I created a note by phone, and it was uploaded. But I found that there isn’t a copy of the note in my phone. So if I wanna see it again I must search and download it. I think it’s better to save a copy of note in the phone.

Felix, Here is a link to the .apk http://s.evernote.com/androidbeta

I have installed it on my Samsung Spica upgraded with android 2.1. I can’t connect with my notes situated on Evernote servers. All over installed applications are successfully connected but not Evernote. Is there a known issue ?

I have evernote on my Samsung Acclaim and have entered all the notes I had on my Treo 700. I can bring up a folder, but I can’t figure out how to retrieve my notes. Also, is there anywhere to sync this to a computer?????

  • Ib

It downloads, installes and sync fine with my existing Evernote account on the Mac. The next time I click the evernote icon my “Contacts” (phone book) shows up! So clicking on my Evernote icon means going to my mobile phone contacts!!
    (I have a Samsung Galaxy 2).
It really piss me of – I´ve had such great use of the Evernote on my Mac.
Can anyone tell me why I have this problem?
