Part of my job at Evernote is helping developers who are building new apps and want to integrate those apps into Evernote. That’s what my “platform advocate” title means. But another cool part of my job is scouring the startup landscape for new ideas. Every startup tells a story, after all, and most of them have life lessons that people in new companies can learn from.
I’ve been a technology journalist for 25 years, covering new products, new technologies, and new business models for publications like Byte, Red Herring, PC/Computing, and CNET. Now that I’m at Evernote, I’m still covering these things, in a new column called Opportunity Notes. Tune in each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday to see what I’ve uncovered, and what I think it means for all of us in tech.
Bonus feature: The column is brief, just 250 words. You can read it in the time it takes do drink a short espresso. And if you don’t even have time for that, play the audio version on each column.
And if you’ve got an inspiring new tech or business story, drop me a line and I’ll see if I can whittle it down to a 250-word Opportunity Note. I can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org. The column runs at OppNotes.com.
